Main responsibilities:
- Work towards the overall success of the dealership by effectively managing all financial tasks;
- Carry out, or ensure the accuracy of, the accounting of sales files;
- Provide support to the dealership management team to ensure proper accounting operations;
- Analyze financial statements on a monthly basis and monitor daily operations, emerging trends and any potential sources of concern;
- Collaborate in the development of short- and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership;
- Bank and financing reconciliations;
- Analyze accounting schedules;
- Handle government relations (hearings, requests, etc.);
- Government remittances (GST/QST, DAS, etc.);
- Preparation of monthly and manufacturer's financial statements;
- Production of year-end file;
- Preparation of various analyses and tables;
- Capitalization and depreciation processes;
- Inter-company control.
Qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in accounting or financial management;
- Experience in the automotive industry;
- Organizational skills;
- Analytical skills;
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
- Ability to communicate in French and English to meet the needs of our bilingual clientele;
- Ability to work independently;
- Leadership;
- Problem solving.
