Mechanic

Canadian Tire in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is looking for a Mechanic.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Perform: inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and minor and major repairs on vehicles;
- Analyze repair orders and vehicle inspection reports with technical advisors;
- Explain repairs and any additional maintenance work required to customers;
- Ensure effective communication during repairs with management, technical advisors and parts counter clerk.
- Perform all other related duties.

Requirements and skills:

- Knowledge of current automotive technologies;
- Valid Quebec driver's licence;
- Ability to work effectively with computerized systems;
- Good working knowledge of CoStar, an asset;
- Strong focus on customer service excellence;
- Effective team player;
- Knowledge and understanding of automotive mechanical components;
- Lift and transport merchandise regularly, frequently and unassisted as required. Weight of merchandise may vary from “light” to “heavy”;
- Walk while carrying a load and push or pull a load as required.
