After Sales Service Advisor

An after-sales service team at a car dealership in Greater Montreal is looking to recruit a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience as an after-sales Service Advisor in a car dealership.

Job description:

The Service Advisor is responsible for demystifying the information provided by the customer and identifying the mechanical problem. The candidate is responsible for planning and estimating work, and is the resource advisor for all aspects of vehicle maintenance, prevention and repair.

Bilingual, the desired candidate has strong interpersonal skills, and knows how to demonstrate courtesy and interpersonal skills at all times. He/she strives for excellence, and has strong communication and after-sales service skills.

The Service Advisor makes every effort to meet the needs of customers who come to the workshop for regular vehicle maintenance or for a mechanical problem. He/she greets customers, establishes a relationship of trust with them, identifies their needs and interprets the information received in order to pass it on to the Workshop Technician in the form of a work order.

The incumbent informs customers about the various systems and functions of the motor vehicle, offers advice on preventive maintenance work and follows up with customers to build loyalty.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Service Advisor in a car dealership;
- Mastery of all aspects of automotive maintenance and repair;
- Good knowledge of automotive manufacturers' repair policies and procedures;
- Fluently bilingual, spoken and written;
- Honest, professional, structured and courteous;
- Excellent references and demonstrated customer service skills;
- Ease and interest in working as part of an automotive service team;
- Willingness to take on new challenges.
