Store Manager

General duties:

You will be responsible for maximizing store sales and profits in order to achieve an acceptable rate of return for investors and meet profit targets. You will also manage store assets, including cash, inventory, vehicles and furniture. The candidate must track expenses, including employee payroll, to meet profit targets in addition to managing store personnel and hiring sufficient staff to serve customers professionally and promptly, and achieve unmatched customer service goals.

Essential duties:

The incumbent will manage the store's day-to-day operations and relationships with business customers to achieve maximum profit for minimum investment. He/she will also hire, train, develop and manage a staff of professional teammates. Follow-up with part-time and full-time sales representatives.

Other duties:

- Issue disciplinary notices and evaluate employee performance. Act as trainer for Assistant Manager by providing one-on-one training on all store operations, policies and procedures;
- Monitor customer pricing to ensure strict control of gross margin;
- Establish budget and manage daily/weekly payroll to meet profit targets;
- Work with sales teams and Regional Retail Manager to develop promotions to meet or exceed profit targets;
- Track all expenses to ensure the store stays within budget;
- Use uniform collection procedures for accounts receivable and keep records up to date. Oversee all aspects of collections. Train outside sales professionals on collection procedures;
- Organize monthly in-store meetings to be attended by all teammates. Provide training on policies and procedures, as well as information on company sales programs and current events. - Promote teamwork, manage incentive bonuses, etc;
- Supervise tasks of store teammates to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Apply all safety policies and procedures for the protection of teammates, store assets and real estate;
- Utilize company programs to track and manage investment in store inventory.
