Groupe Olivier Automobile is looking for a General Manager for our Montérégie dealership to join our growing group.

Our dealership generates 800 units per year, 400 used and 400 new.

Brief job description:

This is an executive position reporting to the Board of Directors on the management of the business and its performance; responsible for all directors. The candidate will manage and direct the dealership according to its fundamental objectives based on profit and return on capital by performing the following tasks personally or delegating them to subordinate managers. He/she will be responsible for maintaining the customer base and profitability of each department within the dealership. Meet these responsibilities through sound business management practices. Plan, coordinate and motivate the activities of the management team.

The main duties are listed below, but the incumbent may be assigned to other functions:

- Represent the dealership;
- Establish the concession's mission and short, medium and long-term objectives, projects and policies, in collaboration with the concession;
- Direct and authorize major corporate projects and procedures in accordance with established policies and with the approval of the Board of Directors and/or the dealership;
- Ensure the solidity and balance of the dealership's financial structure;
- Analyze the results of the dealership's operations, compare them with the objectives set, and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results;
- Plan and direct any investigations and negotiations concerning mergers, joint ventures, the acquisition of other concessions or the sale of major assets, with the approval of the Board of Directors and/or the dealership;
- Implement and maintain an effective company-wide communication system;
- Plan dealership operations for the coming year and submit plan to dealership for approval;
- Meet with Controller/Accountant on a monthly basis to review departmental forecasts to ensure consistency with annual forecasts;
- Meet with managers on an individual basis to develop monthly and annual objectives and review actual performance;
- Monitor daily operating control and recommend improved procedures where necessary;
- Ensure monthly financial statements are complete, accurate and submitted to the manufacturer on time.
