The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Field Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive) to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Perform mechanical machinery repair jobs for customers, as assigned by the Dispatcher
  • Review and discuss repair needs with customers, identifying solutions
  • Actively communicate with the Parts department to ensure required parts are ordered as needed
  • Seek support from the Leadhand, Chargehand, Service Manager, or Tech Center as needed
  • Communicate with the Dispatcher after the completion of machinery repair jobs
  • Adhere to warranty processes as required
  • Comply with the company's Safety Program at all times


Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

 

  • Provincial Heavy-Duty certification, or relevant trade certification
  • Possession of a 310S Automotive Technician, 310T Truck Technician, or a 282E Powered Lift Truck Technician certification is an asset
  • Driver's license required
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to customer sites within the local region

The base pay range for this role starts at: $40.44 per hour.

This is an onsite role based in Brampton, Ontario.
