Job description

The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is North America's largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. 

Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Tire Shop Lead Hand works with our team in the shop to ensure the safe and efficient use, care, and maintenance of the tires on our tractor and trailer fleet. 

About the position:
 

  • Managing tire program out of Edmonton branch including:
    • Shipping and receiving of all branch tires
    • Implementing and monitoring tire policy processes
    • Maintain sufficient new and recap inventory and wheels for multiple branches
    • Maintain retread program
    • Track test tires
    • Lease Operator Tire pool
    • Invoices
  • Removing, rotating and installing tires. Retorque, air check follow up and tracking.
  • Tire chains: Issue, Repair, ,maintain inventory
  • Performing hose tests on fuel, LPG, NH3
  • Oversee day to day operations of tire techs, including training.
  • Manage road side vendor repairs

 What you bring:

  • 2 - 3 years of commercial or fleet tire experience is required
  • Previous experience with running a Tire Program for a large fleet
  • Safety conscious approach to all job duties
