The Lot Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dealership lot. This position contributes to the overall efficiency of the dealership by ensuring that vehicles are appropriately arranged, ready for display, and easily accessible. The purpose of this role is to create a positive first impression for customers, support the sales and service teams, and contribute to the overall functionality and aesthetics of the dealership lot.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 
 

  • When a truck load of vehicles arrive s/he must verify serial numbers against invoices
  • Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment
  • Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt
  • Park new vehicles in assigned areas
  • Assign stock control numbers to cars, catalog and store keys
  • Bring forms to R.M.V. for registering of sold cars
  • Assist technicians or valet when needed per Sales Manager
  • Helping customers locate cars when they come to pick them up
  • Bringing cars to door for customer whenever possible
  • During winter months keep doorways shoveled, sanded and cleared. Also clear snow and ice from cars in lot
  • Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers
  • Duties may also include picking up and delivering of parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership depts
  • Perform tasks as directed by Sales or Service Manager (i.e., washing customers' cars, emptying trash containers or any other task that will assist in the smooth flow of the company
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Good judgment
