Steele Chevrolet is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to join our growing team!

As an Assistant Service Manager with Steele Chevrolet, you are responsible for assisting in achieving customer satisfaction and repeat business through staff professionalism and work quality, while optimizing production efficiency and profitability. This role requires a thorough understanding of manufacturer warranties and procedures, as well as experience as a licensed mechanic.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Understands and applies dealership procedures and policies.
  • Motivates and supervises department employees.
  • Assists in the recruiting, hiring, and training technical and administrative staff of service department.
  • Assists in establishing programs for improved staff product knowledge, skills, attitude, appearance, and job effectiveness.
  • Ensures staff maintain a high quality of workmanship.
  • Assist in monitoring Service Consultants to ensure proper procedures are being followed.
  • Assists in monitoring Dispatcher for work mix allocations.
  • Monitors assigned completed warranties on a regular basis.
  • Ensures drive-in is prepared and ready for business.
  • Reviews Service Technicians daily performance.
  • Ensures proper warranty policies and procedures are being adhered to in the Service Department.
  • Performs other related duties.


Requirements:

 

  • Technical knowledge and experience in the dealership service department.
  • Ability to organize clerical work, administration, control systems and financial resolution.
  • Knowledge of vehicle legislation, automotive industry, and trade practices.
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean drivers abstract.
