Job description

Western KIA is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our growing dealership. 

This key role ensures that our customers maximize the safety and lifespan of their vehicles. They will be a leader, have a passion for all things automotive, and take pride in providing excellent service as part of the western KIA team.

What You'll Do: 
 

  • Perform scheduled maintenance service such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
  • Perform diagnostics and resulting adjustments, service, and repairs to vehicles.
  • Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
  • Advise customers on service completed, and any additional service to be recommended.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections of new vehicles.
  • Complete documentation for service provided, additional needed repairs, advice to customers, and any additional action taken.
  • Maintain an inventory of standard automotive technician tools in good working order.


Opportunities for Ongoing Training:
 

  • You will be expected to complete any ongoing schooling to obtain Red Seal certification.
  • You will take time to review all service bulletins and technical publications.
  • You will complete online training as offered by KIA and required by the Service Manager.


What You Offer:
 

  • A skilled technician (Red Seal preferred but we will consider 3rd or 4th year apprentice).
  • Previous experience as a KIA technician is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work as a key part of a professional service team.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to work with service team and Service Manager.
  • Possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
