Position Title: Auto Parts Store Counterperson

Location: Woodstock, ON

Type of Employment: Full-time permanent 

Compensation: Competitive wage commensurate with experience & comprehensive group benefits

Hours: 
 

  • 40 to 44 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Alternating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Position Summary

Canusa/APC fosters long-lasting relationships with our customers. We establish connections built on trust, transparency, and dedication. The primary objective of this role is to provide professional customer service and process orders using automotive knowledge, company systems and parts catalogues. The individual will also pick, pack, ship, receive, stock and organize automotive parts and effectively deliver automotive parts to customers. Effective use of company resources and tools is an integral part of this role, as well as meeting and setting customer service goals. 

Key Responsibilities 
 

  • Provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using automotive knowledge, company database and parts catalogue
  • Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner
  • Conduct follow-up calls to customers as necessary
  • Efficiently and safely load auto parts into delivery vehicles
  • Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests
  • Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
  • Maintain overall store appearance by cleaning and organizing on a regular basis
  • Pick, pack, ship, receive, stock, and organize auto parts when necessary
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team


Key Requirements and Experiences 
 

  • A valid G Driver's license and clean 3-year abstract required
  • Automotive aftermarket parts knowledge/experience (customer service, sales, repair) required
  • Customer service experience
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use and navigate Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel, online database and web-based training)
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measurement
  • Ability to sort items alphanumerically

Physical Demands and Work Environment 
 

  • Ability to lift and move 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) to 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) safely and consistently
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders and stairs, balance, lift and bend on a regular basis
