Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Diagnoses and performs work as outlined on repair order under the supervision of a Licensed Technician with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership, factory and warranty policies and procedures.


 

  • Discusses any problems related to the repair with their supervising Technician or Service Manager.


 

  • Performs basic equipment maintenance and maintenance records.


 

  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.


 

  • Reviews all repairs with a Supervising Technician.


 

  • Performs other duties as required by the Service Manager to ensure the successful operation of the dealership.


Skills and Qualifications 

 

  • Completion of high school diploma or vocational equivalent


 

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited provincial journeyman's program with the goal to earn full journeyman certification as an automotive repair technician (310S) or provincial equivalent.


 

  • Working knowledge of technical repairs and procedures.


 

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
