Garage R. Ethier & Fils is looking for a Mechanic to join our young, dynamic team!
Our business, a 3rd-generation family-run workshop, is expanding rapidly, and we're looking for someone with the experience to take on these new challenges with us.
Our company specializes mainly in the repair of commercial vehicles and mostly Ford brand vehicles (gasoline and diesel).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Accurately diagnose a problem and evaluate the components required for repair;
- Maintain and repair gasoline, hybrid/electric and diesel vehicles (cars, vans and medium-duty trucks);
- Ability to work on various vehicle systems, regardless of manufacturer (fuel injection, electrical, air conditioning, etc.);
- Ability to diagnose and repair engine/differential/transmission internals;
- Advise technical advisor if additional work is required, if the work described is not necessary, or if repairs cannot be made;
- Interest in upgrading and improving knowledge;
- Maintain work area;
- Sense of organization;
- Thoroughness and precision;
- Punctuality;
- Honesty and reliability;
- Autonomous.
Working conditions:
- Permanent full-time position (40 hours per week, possibility of overtime as needed);
- Monday to Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m;
- Fridays, from 8 a.m. to noon;
- Summer schedule: Friday off!
- Work guaranteed year-round;
- Air-conditioned workshop;
- No tire season;

- Washed uniforms and safety boots provided.
Requirements:
- Must have tool box;
- Valid class 5 driver's licence;
- DVS in auto mechanics or heavy vehicles;
- Have your CPA Journeyman card;
- Job-related work experience;
- Hold a halocarbon certificate (an asset);
- Truck/diesel experience (an asset);
- Able to use a diagnostic device to carry out research on your own.
Starting date: mid-September.
