Field Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive)

The Opportunity: Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Field Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive) to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

 

• Performing maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment
• Adequately diagnosing and repairing various makes of equipment as required by customers
• Conducting tasks assigned from the Dispatcher, maintaining communication and providing updates as needed
• Actively communicating with the Parts department via phone and email to ensure required parts are ordered
• Maintaining proper documentation as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

• Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson's ticket, or 5+ years of proven experience in a related industry required
• Relevant Red Seal Trade Certification required
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
• Valid driver's license required; ability to travel to customer sites within local region as needed

The base pay range for this role is: $46.00 to $55.00 per hour.

This is an onsite role based in Calgary, AB.
