The purpose of this position is to works as part of a dedicated team to ensure that the telematics business is strategically grown and generates profit. In addition, all telematics development is designed to meet Canadian market needs and achieves Sales and Profitability targets with the goal of contributing to increased market share.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Propose and develop future telematics products to meet Canadian market needs and maximize CH Sales/Profit objectives by analyzing competitive strengths and weaknesses of current product including (getting to root cause): price, features, quality, customer satisfaction with product, SOW, ROI
  • Support from a telematics perspective new product launches - user acceptance testing
  • Confirm accuracy, authorize and/or construct product related publications/presentation materials for other departments
  • Stay intimately familiar with assigned telematics products and its competitors
  • Internal and external business reporting with respect to enrollments and subscriptions
  • Invoice processing for Honda Canada telematics


Qualifications:
 

  • Completed post-secondary degree specializing in Business or Marketing
  • 2-3 years of automotive experience
  • Product Planning experience and/or Field experience i.e. Auto Sales/Retail Sales Consultant or Dealer Operation Manager or equivalent
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel and PowerPoint mandatory)
  • Negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence Senior Executives and Engineers through effective communications
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships and all members of the team.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, establish and maintain good working relationship with Honda North America suppliers, partners, consultants, stakeholders and other network contacts.
  • Enjoys team building approach of management and department - shares results.
