About the Role

Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment in a manufacturing facility. Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer.

**The successful candidate for this role will work at our new Magna Chassis and Body Mississauga facility located in Mississauga, ON** 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain and organize tools.
  • Cycle counts
  • Issue tools to manufacturing area.
  • Manage inventory levels for stock out risk - Escalate.
  • Receive and distribute all MRO supplies and deliver packages or goods to individual parties as necessary.
  • Verify shipment accuracy/discrepancies and damaged goods.
  • Escalate backorders as required.
  • Provide MRO and purchasing reports as required by Purchasing Leadership.
  • Organize and maintain the tool crib and shop floor vending machines by restocking, cleaning, and performing cycle counts as per schedule.
  • Work flexible and occasionally extended hours to support business needs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Effective use of MBCM's Escalation Process.
  • Compliance to IATF customer requirements
  • Attends all scheduled meetings and training.
  • Understands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.

Your preferred qualifications

 

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience in a customer service role is required.
  • Experience working in a purchasing-related role within manufacturing is mandatory.
  • It is an asset for the candidate to be working toward, or already possess, a post-secondary certificate or degree in a purchasing-related area of study.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of both industrial and safety products.
  • Previous experience with AutoCrib considered a valuable asset for applicants.
  • Knowledge and previous training in WHMIS and/or handling dangerous goods.
