Job description

Title: Supervisor, Fleet and Facility Maintenance

Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

Location: currently at 4507-61 Ave Leduc, AB however we will be relocating by year end to 3735-8th Street Nisku, AB

Job Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, as the Supervisor, Fleet and Facility Maintenance you are responsible for providing support to the overall fleet and facility for the business unit. You also administer the purchase, sale and maintenance of the entire fleet. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
 

  • Reviewing annual maintenance contracts for all fleet and facility. Managing up-to-date registrations, insurance and licensing.
  • Collaborating with Administrative department to develop and maintain records for fleet and facility.
  • Developing and implementing all policies and procedures in a consistent manner.
  • Preparing quarterly reports for equipment assessments, summarizing year to date expenses and providing recommendations as required. Determining sales or acquisitions of facility equipment.
  • Maintaining an active forklift trainer's certification licence, training and certifying all forklift operators.
  • Creating and completing the preventative maintenance programs for facility and fleet.
  • Ensuring all equipment, facilities, buildings and structures are well maintained and in safe condition. Negotiating and arranging for unscheduled repairs as required.
  • Developing and implementing vehicle maintenance software.
  • Ensuring an organized flow of documentation for inspections, required repairs and completions.
  • Reporting all customer concerns and complaints to Operations Manager and assisting in customer incident reviews and resolutions.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to evolve and grow waste and recycling programs.
  • Working with department supervisors to ensure regular inspections and daily maintenance programs are followed.

Essential Requirements
 

  • Forklift Trainer Certification.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance and manufacturing experience in a supervisory position.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
  • Comfortable using office equipment and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams) and Site Docs.

Working Conditions

You primarily work on-site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
