Job description

Job title: Shop Forman.

Position summary:

The Nissan Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring that repairs and maintenance are carried out efficiently, safely and in accordance with Nissan's quality standards. The role includes supervising Technicians, assisting with complex diagnostics and repairs, and maintaining high customer satisfaction by ensuring that work is completed on time and correctly.

Main responsibilities:

Part 1: Supervision and Leadership:

- Supervise and mentor service technicians;
- Assign work orders and ensure that technicians meet their performance targets and complete repairs on time;
- Provide advice and assistance to technicians, particularly for complex repairs or diagnostics.

Part 2: Technical expertise:

- Diagnose and work on vehicle problems;
- Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets Nissan's high standards;
- Keep abreast of the latest technology, diagnostic tools and repair procedures for Nissan vehicles.

Part 3: Workflow Management:

- Monitor and manage shop workflow to ensure efficiency and reduce downtime;
- Ensure all repairs are properly documented, including parts and labor, using dealership management software;
- Coordinate with the Technical Advisor team to ensure clear communication with customers regarding the repair status of their vehicles.

Parite 4: customer service:

- Ensure that all customer vehicles are repaired to their satisfaction by maintaining rigorous quality control processes;
- Communicate with technical advisors to provide updates on repair status, delays or additional work required;
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by responding to complaints and concerns related to quality or repair times.

Part 5: Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure all technicians follow dealership and Nissan safety protocols, including proper use of tools and equipment;
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the service area;
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal vehicle repair regulations.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience as a lead Technician or similar role in a dealership environment, preferably with Nissan.
