Truck & Coach Technician- 310T

Toromont Cat is looking for a Truck & Coach Technician. Our Technicians, Truck and Coach are critical to our business and with a positive attitude and strong technical expertise will continue to make Toromont Cat a trusted dealer in repairs.

In a typical day, YOU will:

 

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives.
• Maintain positive customer relationships by providing responsive and proactive technical expertise at all times
• Repair Caterpillar diesel engines, all OEM truck and coach vehicles and other equipment in a timely and economical manner
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
• Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure internal and external customer requirements are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner

Must-haves for this role:

 

• Post-secondary education
• A valid Truck and Coach Technician Licence (310T), with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Truck and Coach repair and service
• Safety conscious and customer centric with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Exceptional diagnostic and analytical skills (including electrical and electronics) with superior attention to detail
• Self-motivated and safety conscious with the ability to meet repair deadlines in a fast-paced demanding environment
• High initiative, integrity and ability to function effectively as a team player
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Cat Systems would be an asset
• Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of business requirements
• A valid Ontario Driver's License
