Description:
You will be responsible for directing the activities of body shop employees in the execution of work, including meeting deadlines and productivity levels as well as maintaining quality standards. The candidate must achieve a reasonable operating profit for the department and maintain customer satisfaction standards while controlling expenses.
Duties:
- Establish department objectives and manage the body shop's annual budget;
- Create and maintain good working relationships with insurance adjusters and customers;
- Complete insurance forms to specify repair cost estimates and recommendations;
- Examine damaged vehicle to determine degree of structural and mechanical damage, as well as body and interior damage;
- Comply with the appraisal standards and procedures issued by the Groupement des assureurs automobiles;
- Maintain a high quality repair service and reduce returns to the workshop;
- Monitor the progress of vehicle-related work in the workshop;
- Monitor technician productivity reports and corresponding payrolls on a daily basis;
- Deal with customer complaints promptly;
- Control the circulation of documents and ensure that they are all accounted for, duly completed and filed or sent to the appropriate people.
Requirements:
- Over 5 years of experience in body shop management;
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Good computer skills and proficiency in estimating software.
