Job description

Canadian Tire Repentigny is looking for a Parts Clerk to join our Auto Centre team. As part of your duties, you will be responsible for serving, advising and responding to customers' automotive parts and accessory needs, both on the phone and at the counter, in order to find and supply the right parts for the repair of cars in the Auto Centre.

The Parts Clerk works in a fast-paced environment. He/she supports the auto mechanics or advisors. We're looking for people who are professional, motivated, hard-working, punctual, and eager to provide exceptional service to our customers.

This position involves the use of computerized automotive parts and service research systems, including estimates, repair orders, purchase orders, as well as controlling and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Respond to and manage internal and external customer inquiries and concerns in a timely manner;
- Ensure that the Auto Center team optimizes the customer experience by quickly sourcing, stocking and supplying the right vehicle parts requested by customers or auto mechanics;
- Serve auto mechanics and process their requests for parts and tires;
- Liaise with auto center counter staff and inform them immediately of the receipt of parts and tire orders;
- Procure and order automotive parts, shop supplies and products from authorized suppliers;
- Estimate price and availability of parts and tires;
- Maintain and control inventory accuracy, including specialized shop tools;
- Check batteries, starters and alternators. Maintain battery filling station;
- Liaise with car center counter staff to ensure accuracy of estimates and professional presentation;
- Stock shelves in storage areas;
- Process returns and warranties

Requirements:

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position;
- Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics;
- Knowledge and experience in a computerized work environment (with Costar software, an asset);
- Good stress management skills;
- Team spirit.
