About the role:
The Automotive Reconditioning Manager will be responsible for managing a function within the internal reconditioning process of pre-owned vehicles. This may include overseeing automotive inspections, repairs, detailing, and final preparation for sale. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in automotive reconditioning, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch results.
What you'll do:
- Manage reconditioning processes for all incoming pre-owned vehicles.
- Coordinate with technicians, detailers, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality work.
- Ensure all vehicles meet company standards before being made available to customers on our website.
- Maintain inventory of reconditioning supplies and equipment.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze reconditioning performance metrics.
- Train and mentor reconditioning staff to maintain high performance and quality standards.
- Work cross functionally with other departments to align reconditioning efforts with sales goals.
- Develop and implement new processes to increase the efficiency of the department.
We're looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive repair is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive reconditioning or a related field.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
- Proven experience in managing a team of technicians and detailers.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair, detailing, and inspection processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team player and willing to jump in and lead by example.
