This individual will support the Canada Vehicle Pricing team, the Canada Forecast/Brand Reporting team, and the Canada Retail Incentives team.

Responsibilities of the Finance Intern include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Completing special projects and assignments that support process improvements and efficiency
  • Conducting competitive pricing analysis
  • Assist with retail incentive auditing and costing
  • Analyzing data that could lead to potential profit opportunities or risks
  • Conducting ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
  • Liaising between Vehicle Pricing and Forecast teams as well as operating partners
  • Ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, preferably a background in finance, strong Microsoft Excel/Power BI skill set with a propensity to streamline and automate


What you will learn in this organization:

 

  • Develop the skills and confidence to present information to senior management
  • Demonstrate to senior management the completeness and accuracy of the work
  • Problem solving by demonstrating to senior management the ability to question the data, determine the issues, and present possible solutions
  • How to communicate effectively and act as a liaison between different groups within the finance and operations teams
  • Develop knowledge of profit forecasting and variance analysis

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Ideal candidate will have recently completed their studies
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada


Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master's Degree
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables under tight time constraints
  • Some flexibility in work schedule to meet internal deadlines
  • Solid interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work productively as a member of a cross functional team
  • Energetic, ambitious, and motivated, with demonstrated performance
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables under tight time constraints
  • Microsoft Power BI experience
