Position Overview
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, and production machines and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and diagnoses causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove, replace, and/or adjust defective or malfunctioning parts.
- Examines parts to detect imperfections.
- Maintains and repairs automotive, mechanical, and electrical systems, and maintains and repairs electrical equipment.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Maintains and repairs miscellaneous equipment (aerators, spreaders, tractors, seeders, etc.)
- Responds to fleet breakdowns in the field as needed/requested.
- Coordinates major truck repairs and warranty work with vendors.
- Processes parts and maintenance invoices.
- Maintains fleet repair filing system.
- Complete and document MTO certifications
Salary range of $32.00 to $40.00 per hour dependent on experience.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma/(GED) required and 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 310T and 310S licenses are a must
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Attention to detail.
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills, including punctuality for on-time attendance

- Occasionally work near mechanical or moving parts
