310T TRUCK & COACH TECHNICIAN

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 1:00am
Licensed Rate:
$40.23 per hour plus $2.12 shift premium, ($42.35/h)

Miller is a leader in waste management and diversion, providing governments and industries with a wide range of services in the Provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Manitoba. Miller has over 50 years' experience in the waste management sector, and currently operates out of more than 30 locations. We are looking for a highly capable 310T Truck & Coach Apprentice or Technician to be located out of our Durham Yard, in Pickering, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
In the position of 310T Truck & Coach Apprentice or Technician. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- The service and repair of all Company vehicles to ministry standards and Miller Waste standards.
- Will be required to repair and road test equipment, including hydraulics and electrical, as well as shop maintenance.
- Will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
- Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
- Conduct on-road service calls, as required.
Requirements:
- Successful candidates must possess and keep valid their licenses including being enrolled into one of the schools for Skilled Trades of Ontario and/or a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's Licence.
- Must have at least a valid 'G' Licence.
- You will have ability to diagnose and rectify faults, as well as experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key as well as working in a team environment.
- You must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
