***This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Markham Elevation Centre & Oshawa Elevation Centre, three times per week at minimum between the 2 sites. .***
The Director - Vehicle Distribution, VSSM Canadarole is a key strategic leadership position within Vehicle Sales Service and Marketing. The position leads the distribution function which includes industry and sales forecasting, production scheduling, and order management. This is a critical role in ensuring sufficient allocation and vehicle inventory turn rates to achieve GMCC volume and revenue targets. The position interacts and represents Canadian interests on various global and North American forums and has significant interaction with GMCC senior leadership.
Role Summary
- Direct & co-ordinate the monthly cycles associated with vehicle scheduling, sales forecasting, & order management with goal of maximizing GMCC revenue & Consensus coverage, and ensuring earned production aligns with M-Schedule and Financial Forecast.
- Manage and work to streamline and modernize all associated allocation and sales/inventory systems and reporting.
- Lead stakeholder communications through the entire organization.
- Interpret "big data", including segment and share data, find insights, communicate findings in compelling fashion, and help drive solid business decisions / communications.

- Sales Forecasting - Maintain GM/Industry forecasts within accuracy benchmark
- Delivery Reporting - Preserve integrity in all sales reporting processes
- Allocation - Evaluate & respond to production requests from regions & dealers
- Order Fulfillment - Manage constraints & ordering info to meet weekly production volumes
- Inventory Management - Achieve monthly consensus to secure profit targets
- Sales Results - Collaborate with Marketing, Fleet, Finance to grow sales profitably
- Customer Focus - Manage sold order process to delight customers & drive sales
- Innovation - Find opportunities to drive revenue & improve business processes
- Team Building - Develop, train and support employees
- Workplace of Choice - Increase employee engagement to benchmark levels
- Analytics - Provide insight on sales & market trends to senior leadership

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in regional distribution or vehicle scheduling an asset
Education and Training
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Vehicle Sales & Marketing experience
Location:
In-person collaboration is immensely valuable for this Hybrid role, so an average of three days in-office per week is required. Location will be split between OEC and MEC sites depending on where stakeholders are on a given day. Occasional travel within U.S. and Canada required.
