Being a Service Advisor at Park Avenue Volkswagen is much more than gathering information about vehicles, it's about creating a relationship of trust with customers and ensuring that their maintenance and repair needs are fully understood and met. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a vital role in being the interface between the customer and the workshop, ensuring a smooth and professional service experience. Description of daily tasks:
Your responsibilities, your avenue to success:
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and gather information about their vehicle;
- Create a relationship of trust by identifying the customer's needs, interpreting the information gathered and passing it on to the technician;
- Explain work performed and associated costs clearly and accurately;
- Record details of vehicle problems accurately on the repair order;
- Advise customers on the care of their vehicle and the importance of regular maintenance, in line with the manufacturer's recommendations;
- Inform customers about promotions and services offered by the dealership;
- Take customers for a test drive, if necessary, to confirm problems or refer them to a technician;
- Schedule service appointments and prepare detailed cost estimates;
- Establish method of payment and obtain credit approval if necessary;
- Collaborate with shop foreman to plan work to be performed;
- Communicate any changes in maintenance to customers;
- Present self in a professional manner and perform other duties as required by management.
Profile:
- Excellent ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically;
- Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken;
- Previous experience in customer service;
- Basic knowledge of the automotive industry.
