Job description

The Millwright (Hourly) will work on a three-shift rotation to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities will include: assembling, installing, testing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining factory automation equipment on conveyor systems (including power and free and power roller table and belt conveyors), hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls (including air logic), and machine tool installation (including rigging).

The Millwright (Hourly) will also diagnose malfunctioning systems and apparatuses as well as testing/inspecting hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes (legislative, safety); and ensuring that all work completed results in the highest quality of product leaving the workstation (piece of equipment/machine).

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate of Apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
  • Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
  • Minimum EIGHT (8) years of related experience working in the trade
  • Mechanical experience supporting manufacturing operations including knowledge and troubleshooting
  • Experience in preventative maintenance including replacing broken or defective parts in equipment and/or machines
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic system
  • Demonstrated ability to operate on elevated work platform
  • Understanding of conveyor systems both OHP&F, IP&F, gearboxes, and robot maintenance
  • Thorough understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain tact and professionalism at all times
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency with computers, including the use of Microsoft Office
  • Available to work all shifts
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
