310T TRUCK & COACH TECHNICIAN

Full-time- Permanent- Day & Afternoon Shifts
Reporting:
Shop Foreperson
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm. (Day Shift)
Monday to Friday, 3pm to 12am. (Afternoon Shift)
Rate:
$42.80 plus $2.12 shift premium per hour (Day $42.80) (Afternoon $44.92)
We are looking for a highly capable 310T Truck & Coach Technician to be located out of our Ottawa (West) Yard, in Carp, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
In the position of 310T Truck & Coach Technician. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- The service and repair of all Company vehicles to ministry standards and Miller Waste standards.
- Will be required to repair and road test equipment, including hydraulics and electrical, as well as shop maintenance.
- Will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
- Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
- Conduct on-road service calls, as required.
Requirements:
- Successful candidates must possess and keep valid their licenses including a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's Licence.
- Must have at least a valid 'G' Driver's Licence.
- You will have ability to diagnose and rectify faults, as well as experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key as well as working in a team environment.
- You must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
