Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection:
- Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive incoming shipments of automotive parts and materials, verifying all parts are accounted for against shipping documents.
- Do a 360-degree inspection on the received items looking for any damage or discrepancies.
- Report any issues to the vendor and the appropriate internal personnel (i.e., CSR, Production, Technician).
- Arrange pick up of damaged parts to be returned with Vendor and create return slip within 24 hours.
- Label and organize received items for storage or immediate use.
- Review appointments for the upcoming week to ensure parts have been received or will be arriving for repair appointments; coordinate with centralized parts/CSR if parts will not arrive for repair appointments.
- Ensure Parts Carts are kitted and ready to go for the technicians. Inventory Management:
Inventory Management:
- Organize and maintain parts inventory in designated storage areas.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of parts to facilitate easy retrieval.
- Enter parts location in the management system.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of automotive parts and materials.
- Keep an accurate record of all outstanding credits and follow up on them.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Document all incoming parts transactions accurately in the inventory management system.
- Maintain up-to-date records of parts received, including part numbers, quantities, and suppliers.
Follow up on Outstanding Parts and Credits:
- Print off Outstanding Credit Return Report and follow up with Vendors on missing credits. (Mondays & Thursdays)
- Print off Outstanding Parts Report - follow up on any parts that have not arrived yet.
- Print off IOU list and update CSR's on any outstanding IOUs to be completed 2Weekly Follow up on Parts Inventory:
- Review etas of back ordered items and follow up
- Review inventory items for potential stocking issues
- Conduct regular inventory counts on sundries and identify stock items needed as required
- Review parts inventory, flag old work orders for follow up
- Review any inventory parts from Missed appointments and communicate to the CSR.
- Generate reports as needed to track inventory levels and monitor stock availability
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a logistics department or similar role
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
