Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic to join our team in Thunder Bay, Canada. As a vital member of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our truck and coach fleet.
- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and coaches as assigned
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Complete work orders and associated paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Collaborate with team members to resolve challenging mechanical issues
- Deliver and pick up vehicles from third-party maintenance providers when necessary
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety
Qualifications
- 310T Truck and Coach License or Apprentice certification
- Registration with the Trades & Apprentice Board
- Valid driver's license
- Strong mechanical skills and in-depth knowledge of truck and coach systems
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts and tools
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication abilities
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and repair techniques
