What You'll Be Doing:
As a Fleet Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our fleet operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting project managers with fleet management tasks
- Ensuring fleet vehicles, equipment, and supplies are available when and where needed
- Performing maintenance on equipment, trailers, and laydowns
- Conducting maintenance on fleet vehicles, including changing headlights and tires, washing vehicles, and transporting trucks to various sites
- Developing unique knowledge about Terracon's field operations
- Supporting our Fleet team as needed
- Pay rate will be $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on work experience
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Superior driving skills, including off-road experience, with a clean driver's abstract
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- A hands-on aptitude and willingness to learn
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- The capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- A strong commitment to safety for yourself and your colleagues
Working Conditions, Schedule, and Physical Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and at least 2 years of driving experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable working in a field environment, including driving to and from sites, as well as on-site tasks
- Comfortable driving trucks for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs as needed
- This is a safety-sensitive position
- Successful completion of a Fit for Work and Drug and Alcohol test is required
- Schedule may occasionally require being on-call and working overtime
