Brief job description :
- Ensure efficient human resources management and customer loyalty;
Administrative tasks :
- Plan department objectives in collaboration with supervisor;
- Know and apply the terms and conditions of manufacturer's warranties and policies;
- Ensure that all documents and information required by the manufacturer or Fixed Operations Manager are available and properly completed;
- Review warranty policy settlements, understand and apply relevant warranty guidelines, ensure proper claims processing and communicate warranty information to customers;
- Initial all repair orders before submitting them to the warranty department;
- Ensure that manufacturer warranty claims are up-to-date;
- Maintain a high quality repair service and reduce returns to the workshop;
- Conduct intermittent audits of work performed to ensure thoroughness and quality;
- Ensure cleanliness of work areas and customer waiting area;
- Ensure after-sales customer files are up to date and easily accessible on appropriate software;
- Attend directors' meetings.
Human resources duties :
- Monitor departmental employee performance through appropriate reports, audit systems and surveys;
- Hire, train, motivate and mentor the after-sales service team;
- Schedule the activities of all department employees and ensure that they are carried out;
- Strive for harmony and team spirit within the department and with all other departments in the dealership;
- Plan and/or organize technical training and direct employees to appropriate training centers or trainers;
- Evaluate the performance of team members at regular intervals;
- Ensure compliance with Quebec occupational health and safety laws.
Tasks related to customer service :
- Replace technical advisor, as needed;
- Replace shop foreman, as needed;
- Create and maintain harmonious relations with customers;
- Create and maintain harmonious relationships with vocational training centers to promote recruitment activities;
- Ensure that all customers are greeted promptly and given a reasonable estimate of the cost and time required for repairs and maintenance;
- Deal with customer complaints promptly, according to dealership guidelines;
- Implement and maintain a customer satisfaction system.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a car dealership;
- Knowledge of Serti software (an asset);
- Punctuality, initiative and attention to detail.
