Your Key Responsibilities

Development
 

  • Realize new production technologies in the plant.
  • Establish and consider the limits of current technologies and their impact on quality and cost.
  • Provide requests to advanced development organization


Investment
 

  • Provide requirement specification for new machine or equipment.
  • Select equipment and technology from the research of different machine tools/ equipment and their suppliers. Align with capital expenditure approval and purchasing processes.
  • Establish and consider the limits of current technologies and their impact on quality and cost.
  • Plan and implement the pre-acceptance of new machine or equipment including a list of correction measures.
  • Support final acceptance test. Provide data and check setup/process operation.


Networking
 

  • Share quality, cost and robustness information for current technology and optimization. Compare different locations.


New Product
 

  • Analyze challenges for production of new products (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly).
  • Analyze production feasibility for new products. Best process to produce product with cost estimates.
  • Provide data and information for production planning and cost calculation.
  • Support PFMEA. Provide all information about risk of production process to PFMEA owner. Support corrective actions from PFMEA.
  • Support sample production by Production or Prototype.


Optimization
 

  • Review/ analyze/ consider current production machines/equipment/ technology performance information (quality, setup time, cycle time, tool cost, etc.) versus performance of new or improved.
  • Identify and plan optimization actions and projects to improve current production technology.
  • Implement projects to improve quality, cost, and robustness.


Production Support
 

  • Provide setup parameter data (e.g. Setup Sheet).
  • Provide operator instruction for the technological tasks of the process.
  • Support gap analysis from key figure measurements (e.g. QCD, OEE, capacity)
  • Support short term problem solving and troubleshooting. Provide technological know-how to production for solving problems.
  • Support tooling plan. Provide requirements and machine specs to tool design.
  • Support test of tooling.


Qualification
 

  • Assess skill and training level required to achieve qualification regard the technology.
  • Suggest training, coaching and experiences required.
  • Provide training material (method, presentation, handout, online, etc.)
  • Provide training and coaching for operators and other technical support.


Your Qualifications

 

  • Technical degree, diploma or experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or similar environment
  • Experience working in functional and cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Goal and results oriented
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience in ERP, preferably SAP
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology for example: Value Streams, MTM, Ergonomics
  • Working knowledge of PC's and applicable software
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
