Job Summary 
DJ's Garage, a well-established automotive repair shop in Banff, Alberta, is seeking a Tire and Lube Technician - Garage Helper to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with a little mechanical aptitude and an interest in automotive work, even if they don't have extensive experience in the trade. You'll be working with our mechanics and shop coordinator who will guide and train you on the job, so you'll gain valuable skills while supporting our team. DJs garage is owned by Discover Banff Tours and the shop plays an integral role in helping maintain the fleet while simultaneously helping retail customers.   • Key Responsibilities
    Tire Services: Assist with tire mounting, balancing, repairs, and rotations.
  • Oil and Fluid Changes: Perform oil changes and check and top up other essential fluids (e.g., brake, coolant, windshield washer fluid) as directed.
  • General Shop Assistance: Maintain a clean, organized work environment by sweeping, organizing tools, and cleaning work areas.
  • Parts and Tool Handling: Retrieve parts and tools as needed by technicians, ensuring they have what they need to work efficiently.
  • Routine Inspections: Assist technicians with basic vehicle inspections, including checking lights, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
  • Learning Opportunity: Follow directions from experienced mechanics to gain hands-on skills in various automotive repair and maintenance tasks.

    Requirements
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of automotive concepts and an eagerness to learn.
  • Hands-On Work: Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and work in a shop environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow safety guidelines and ensure quality work.
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively, take direction well, and support our mechanics.
  • Valid, clean, Driver's License: Required to assist with moving vehicles, test drives, when needed.
