Job description

Distinctive Auto Works is looking for a detail-oriented Automotive Parts Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $45000 to $55000 depending on skills, 3 weeks of paid vacation, and extended health and dental benefits. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of parts and materials through our facility, ensuring that our technicians have the necessary tools and components to provide top-notch service for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage inventory levels and ensure parts availability to support daily operations;

Order, receive, and track parts and supplies, maintaining accurate records;

Coordinate with suppliers to establish proper delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies;

Support technicians with parts sourcing and provide expert knowledge on parts applications;

Assist in maintaining an organized parts room, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards;

Monitor inventory depletion and forecast upcoming parts needs;

Conduct regular audits of inventory and audit procedures to ensure accuracy;

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries related to parts and services;

Collaborate with the Estimators to manage part orders based on repair plans;

Assist with training new staff on parts management systems and processes;

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset;

Familiarity with automotive parts and terminology, with a strong attention to detail;

Proficient in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite;

Effective communication skills with a strong customer service focus;

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment;

Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities;

Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to parts management in an asset;

Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years;

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
