Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Administrator for a 6 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry and develop valuable skills in purchasing and data analysis.

As a Purchasing Administrator, you will support our purchasing team with various tasks focused on reporting and data analysis. You will have the opportunity to learn about all areas of purchasing and contribute to our continuous improvement initiatives with potential for future employment opportunities based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of purchasing reports.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to evaluate supplier performance.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
  • Learn and assist in streamlining various purchasing processes and procedures.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements:
 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management
  • No formal experience required, but a keen interest in supply chain and procurement is preferred.


Skills and Knowledge:
 

  • Passion for quantitative data analysis combined with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Able to organize information/data in a manner that can be easily communicated and understood.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment and general automobile knowledge is an asset.
