Sales Accounting Clerk

Viau Ford is looking for a Sales Accounting Clerk to join their dynamic, high-performance team.

As a Sales Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the company's financial operations.

Your responsibilities:

Reporting to the Controller, the Clerk verifies and records sales and programs with the manufacturer.

Specific responsibilities:

- Review new and pre-owned vehicle sales records. Record in sales journal;
- Calculate commissions to be paid to sales representatives and prepare their statements;
- Record cash receipts for manufacturer's programs, sales and extended service in the Ford system;
- Apply for and keep up to date on government subsidy programs for electric vehicles;
- Assign inventory numbers to used vehicles, prepare cheques for pre-owned vehicle purchases;
- Follow up on various accounting schedules (vehicles receivable, financing receivable, accessories sold but not installed, etc.);
- Keep abreast of and have a good and complete understanding of federal and provincial leasing and advertising laws;
- Perform all related tasks, when required by his/her superior.

Skills and qualities:

- Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience;
- Experience in the automotive industry, an asset (ideally with Ford, or a North American manufacturer)
- Good accounting skills;
- Discretion, organizational skills, ability to plan activities and autonomy;
- Interest in varied work;
- Good adaptability;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines on a regular basis;
- Good interpersonal skills and interest in teamwork;
- Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office;
- Knowledge of Serti / Merlin (an asset);
- Flexibility to learn new software, methods and procedures.
