Job Description

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Fort McMurray, AB.

You will make an impact in the following ways: 
 

  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop and or at the customer's site.
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools


Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: 

Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
 

  • Heavy duty Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory for these roles.


Experience:
 

  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products.
  • Mining experience open pit.
  • Working on Komatsu's products.
  • High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)
  • Customer service experience


(Intermediate): 
 

  • Completes complex internal engine repairs
  • Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision


About the role :
 

  • Safety Sensitive Position
  • 14 shifts on, 14 shifts off rotation
  • Day and Night shift
  • Staged from Suncor Base Plant
  • No accommodation but Cummins offers a monthly 1000$ allowance
  • You are responsible for transportation to the work site (ride sharing is also available)
  • Random drug and alcohol testing on site.
  • Service vehicle and tooling are provided
