Location: Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada (Onsite)
Daily Schedule/Shift: Rotating shifts - Days (7am-3pm), Afternoons (3pm-11pm) and potentially Nights (11pm-7am) including weekends.
Position Title: Manufacturing Process Control Engineer - Automotive Manufacturing & Engineering

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Process Control Engineer based out of Automotive Assembly plant. In this role, you will get the chance to work with a cross functional team to continuously improve the quality of the vehicles built for customers. You will work to develop solutions that prevent defects from leaving the plant ensuring a safer and more reliable vehicle by utilizing PFMEA risk reduction tools and implementing Process controls from headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot build issues that impact Safety, Direct Run Rate (DRR), Direct Run Loss (DRL), and uptime
- Work with maintenance on error proofing concept, implementation, and validation (UAT)
- Review warranty calls and implement countermeasures
- Update department documentation, including Task Instruction Sheets (TIS), check sheets, the Error Proofing Annunciation (EPA) list etc.
- Work on risk reduction activities using PFMEAs
- Maintain PFMEA database
- Respond to Global Customer Audit (GCA) calls
- Attend quarterly 5F meeting and Quality report out
- Responsible for Built In Quality (BIQ) basketweave implementation
- Implement and maintain all PCP and T&E Bulletin requirements
- Prepare Level 2 Quality BPD
- Develop and manage team leader quality checks (COSKs)
- Setup containment activities
- Evaluate risks during Plant Floor Change Management (PFCM) process
Requirements
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experiences:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in process control within a manufacturing setting
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Fundamental knowledge of processes within the automotive industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management abilities
- Capacity to collaborate within a team environment with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector
- Experience in General Motors manufacturing facilities
Education and Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline.
