If you're passionate sharing your collision knowledge and expand your technical ability, you might just be the pilot we're looking for as our next Technical Trainer.
The Technical Trainer will deliver Fix Network developed training material, I-CAR certifications and training courses, and training sessions on various collision repair-based topics. You will attend and occasionally speak at conferences, high schools, and deliver other educational presentations on a wide variety of technical subjects. The Technical Trainer will ensure that employees and technicians are trained to perform their job duties using best practices.
The daily road of a Technical Trainer at Fix Network:
- In collaboration with the training team, aid in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on collision repair techniques.
- Adapt training techniques to the learning style of franchisee's production staff
- Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to enhance student learning on subjects such as welding, plastic repair, aluminum and steel panel repair, deliver I-CAR hands-on courses, Structural repair and replacement techniques, 3D measuring, painting, and ADAS calibration.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement.
- Stay current with industry advancements, tools, and technologies to ensure training content is relevant and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine curriculum and training materials based on industry standards and technicians needs.
- Maintain a safe and organized training environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Promote and advocate the concepts of peak performance and self-improvement across the training sessions
- Assist in administrative tasks related to program development, student evaluations, and reporting.
- Attend industry related events and engage with stakeholders and our partners
- Assist with development and implementation of Continuous Process Improvement strategies
- Establish and maintain familiarity with the latest in texts, materials, teaching aids, and training techniques relevant to the organization and its goals and objectives
- Perform training needs analysis by assessing the skill level, performance, and competence of each learner
- Communicate with operations and Strategic Partners to meet I-Car certification objectives.
- Gather and analyze information to design, develop, and deliver new training programs that are efficient, effective and have a positive impact on the organization
- Participate in various Industry related career days, school events or classroom presentations
- Other related duties as assigned
The pilote we are looking for :
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Collision Repair Industry
- Certified Red Seal Collision Repair technician (310B)
- Knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Estimating/Repair Planning experience an asset
- Previous teaching or training experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with AllData or TechAdvisor an asset
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience mentoring/training apprentices and asset
- Possesses I-CAR certifications
