Steele Chevrolet is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team!

As a Service Advisor with Steele Chevrolet, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance or repairs. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, assessing vehicle issues, providing cost estimates, and coordinating service appointments. If you have strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for ensuring customer satisfaction, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to excel in the automotive service industry.

Hourly Wage Range: $19.15 - $22.45 Plus Performance Bonus

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Effectively assess and identify automotive problems by actively listening to customer descriptions, asking clarifying questions, and analyzing symptoms to ensure accurate understanding of the issue.
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage by thoroughly reviewing customer records and documentation, clearly communicating coverage details, exclusions, and provisions to the customer.
  • Prepare detailed, accurate service estimates by calculating the costs of parts, materials, labor, and any additional services required, ensuring full transparency and customer understanding.
  • Draft precise repair orders (RO) that outline the symptoms, identify issues, underlying causes, and the necessary repairs and services, ensuring clarity for technicians and customers alike.
  • Foster positive customer rapport by clearly explaining service estimates, anticipated vehicle return times, and addressing any questions or concerns, ensuring customer confidence and satisfaction.
  • Keep thorough and accurate records of all customer interactions, vehicle issues, and planned corrective actions, ensuring clear communication and continuity of service.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
  • Contribute to the store's reputation by taking initiative in handling unique requests, identifying opportunities to improve processes, and providing exceptional service that enhances overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.


Requirements:

 

  • At least two years of customer service experience
  • Previous experience in an Automotive Service Advisor role is considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills: a good listener who can cultivate relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-driven environment
  • Good organization and learning skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driver's abstract
