WHO WE ARE
A family business with some 50 employees, we've been specializing in the sale of fire safety equipment, trucks and services for nearly 60 years. Our clientele is mainly municipal and industrial, throughout the provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick. Some product lines are even distributed across Canada.

MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventive inspections on fire trucks;
- Carry out mechanical repairs to chassis, specialized tools, electrical systems, pumping, ladders, foam or hydraulic systems;
- Estimate parts and time needed to complete repairs;
- Perform complementary work, such as welding, cutting steel, fitting out compartments;
- Document the progress of work in progress and enter work times in our computer system, for billing purposes;
- Complete compliance reports based on the equipment inspected;
- Advise customers on the best use of their equipment;
- Apply all health and safety principles in the workplace;
- May be required to travel to customer sites to perform equipment inspections and/or repairs.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years;
- Any combination of relevant training and experience will be considered;
- Major assets: experience in hydraulics, electricity, electronics and/or diesel.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / ASSETS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Valid driver's licence (class 5);
- Functional English (an asset; English-speaking customers);
- Computer proficiency (Outlook and in-house computer system).
Additional requirements:
- Class 3 or 4A driver's licence (an asset);
- Valid passport;
- PEP (Preventive Maintenance Program) certification, an asset;
- Good physical condition;
- Professionalism, courtesy and excellent customer service skills;
- Manual dexterity and good coordination;
- Ability to diagnose quickly (analysis and synthesis);
- Autonomy, organizational skills and sense of responsibility;
- Commitment to community safety through preventive diagnostics;
- Good learning ability and excellent observation skills;
- Desire for continuous learning and openness to new technologies.
