Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced 421A Mechanic to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario!

What you're responsible for:
 

  • Performing maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment used in metal recycling operations
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
  • Troubleshooting and identify issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Completing repairs and replacements of faulty components, adhering to safety and quality standards
  • Collaborating with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repair tasks efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and log work performed
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines while conducting maintenance and repairs


Qualifications

To join our team:
 

  • 421A certification
  • Previous experience as a 421A Mechanic
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations
  • Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and working in various weather conditions
