Your area of focus.
You'll be the go-to expert, connecting with customers online, over the phone, and face-to-face to help them find their dream vehicle. With your top-notch communication and listening skills, you'll guide customers through the entire purchase process, making sure their payment options fit their budget, lifestyle, and expectations. All while delivering an unforgettable experience! We're looking for someone with at least 3 years of customer-facing experience, a "hunter" mentality who thrives on staying self-motivated, and a proven track record of building lasting relationships to keep customers coming back for more.
What drives your day-to-day?
- Roll out the red carpet for customers with a warm welcome, setting the stage for a professional and friendly experience.
- Get to know your customers and help them find the perfect Volkswagen by guiding them through the exciting vehicle selection process.
- Show off your Volkswagen knowledge by highlighting the coolest features and benefits during fun and interactive test drives and presentations.
- Make car dreams come true by presenting financing and leasing options that are as personalized as the car itself.
- Create an unforgettable experience by ensuring everything goes smoothly from start to finish - from their first question to driving off in their new car!
- Build meaningful relationships with your customers using your awesome communication skills - you're their go-to expert!
- Close deals with finesse, using your negotiation skills while keeping things fun and customer friendly.
- Stay organized and sharp by keeping an up-to-date customer database, always ready for the next sale!
- Fill your calendar with exciting customer appointments by reaching out to prospects and keeping the momentum going.
- Earn repeat business by staying in touch with past customers and making sure they're always thrilled with their experience.
- Keep your knowledge fresh with regular training on the latest and greatest from Volkswagen - you'll be the expert everyone turns to!
- Take customers on memorable test drives and provide fun, hands-on demonstrations that make them fall in love with the car.
- Engage with potential buyers through friendly calls and emails, making sure they know you're here to help them find their dream ride.
- Take on other fun challenges as assigned by store leadership to help the team and dealership succeed!
What are the must-haves...
- Must be 18 years of age or older to meet insurance requirements for operating a motor vehicle
- Possession of authorized documentation required to gain employment, in addition to having a current, valid CA-issued Driver's License and acceptable Driver's Abstract
- Must submit to and adequately pass a pre-employment background and MVR screen prior to employment
- Open availability to workdays, evenings, weekends, and some holidays knowing that employees are required to stay until the customer's purchase is complete and their satisfaction ensured
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role required with experience in retail, sales, marketing, and customer service being preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, which includes standing, sitting, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, lifting, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to construct emails and messages in a professional and inviting manner
- Has the competitive spirit, drive, outgoing personality, consistency, and resilience to meet monthly sales objectives while following a daily work plan
Previous sales experience is an asset, but not required. We provide comprehensive in-house training to set you up for success!
