The Equipment Operations Mechanic (non-ticketed) will be responsible for the diagnosis of mechanical problems and repairs to equipment and infrastructure. In this role you will conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's specifications under the direction of the licensed Heavy Equipment Mechanic, licensed ski lift mechanic, millwright or snowmaking department.
SEASONAL - FULL TIME
HOURLY WAGE-$32.53
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and maintain equipment and working tools, electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, hydraulic systems and drive train components.
- Performing repetitive jobs on a seasonal basis (i.e. track work on groomers)
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on Groomers, Heavy Equipment, Tractors and Snowmobile/ATVs and company vehicles (including diesel engine repair);
- Test equipment to ensure proper performance Assist with planning and completion of maintenance on resorts snowmaking system (on hill and in plant)
- Complete maintenance reports and required documentation
- Perform outdoor duties as required (IE. greasing, replacing tracks in extreme weather conditions)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace Assists Slope Maintenance and Lift Maintenance teams as required, including operating heavy equipment
WHAT DO YOU NEED OF ME?
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience servicing Heavy Equipment with a knowledge of Hydrostatics, Diesel Engines and Computer controlled drive Systems
- Minimum 3 years' experience with grooming equipment maintenance or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience with grooming equipment is an asset
- Knowledge with electronic, hydraulic and diesel systems
- Must be able to supply own tools
- Valid Class "G" Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
- Good Communication skills
- Previous experience in vehicle, snowmobile and ATV repairs
- Ability to work independently
- Proven ability to work well with other employees
- Welding experience an asset
- Previous Computer experience an asset
