Primary Purpose and Main Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) system, based on the ISO45001 and ISO14001 standard and local law, corporate requirements established in EHS
- Ensure verification of compliance with corporate EHS by conducting and monitoring integrated corporate audits of EHS
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with new and current legislation on EHS issues
- Support / Strengthen EHS culture
- Develop and implement EHS strategies to support the main goal "Zero Serious Injury"
Main responsibilities
- Comply with company policies, relevant global EHS objectives
- Ensure that the EHS management system complies with the requirements of ISO45001 and ISO14001
- Support internal and external audits of EHS processes and systems
- Review, analysis and manage the implementation of new mandatory EHSS and/or new and current legal requirements
- Develop EHS activities, support in the realization of EHS projects
- Support meeting of the Integrated Management Systems Committee
- Support the realization of action plans for the closure of non-conformities of EHS audits
- Coordinate training in the EHS for plant personnel
- PEC Pillar subcommittee leader
- Manage the statistic and trends in terms of EHS
- Support ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001 and IATF16949
Education and Certifications
Required:
Graduate degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemistry, Safety or Environmental), occupational health professional, professional in EHS (SST). Have license in SG-SST (Sistema de Gestión en Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo).
Experience
Required:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in safety, industrial hygiene processes and/or environmental and minimum 2 years of experience in industrial processes.
Desired: Experience working in plants with labor unions
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Communication skills, work in interdisciplinary teams, ability to solve challenges, leadership skills, creativity, excellent interpersonal relationships.
