What will you do?
 

  • Provides accurate documentation on maintenance repair and verifies that all work is necessary and done at a fair price.
  • Negotiates repairs when appropriate and documents all instances where a cost savings is realized.
  • Ensures appropriate preventative maintenance schedule is followed.
  • Proactively monitors trends in vehicle maintenance for specific accounts and geographic markets.
  • Builds and analyzes both standard and ad-hoc reports.
  • Analyzes data and makes recommendations to customers and ARI management to implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Liaises with fleet managers, vendors and manufacturers to ascertain the most effective resolution to truck malfunctions.
  • As the technical expert, acts as a consultant to fleet managers and service technicians when complex repairs are needed.
  • Reviews and issues non-standard purchase orders to ensure that the customer's best interests are protected.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.


What are we looking for?
 

  • Valid mechanic's license 310T certification or equivalent.
  • Post-Secondary Education (i.e. College diploma, Certificate, or Apprenticeship) (Asset)
  • ASE certification or willing to obtain within established timeline set by Holman.
  • 5-10 years experience of hands-on heavy vehicle and associated equipment repair.
  • A good working knowledge and diagnostic capabilities related to the following systems: Body cabin and chassis specifications; coupling equipment; aerial devices and crane equipment; air brakes; hydraulics; electrical diagnostics.
  • Government regulations for heavy on- and off-road vehicles and associated equipment.
  • Some travel: local, national and cross-border. There may be an overnight requirement.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
  • Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively with employees, customers and vendors.

Pay: 
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $55,730.00 - $80,805.00 CAD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
