Journeyman Mechanic
Associated Ambulance
With over 40 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services, Associated Ambulance is proud to be the largest private EMS operator in Alberta. We deliver Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Inter Facility Transfer Services to 22 rural and 2 metro locations across Alberta.
We are currently seeking a professional, energetic, and self-motivated Journeyman Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team in a permanent full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the successful candidate will:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on company vehicles, primarily ambulances (Ford E450 and Dodge Promaster 350).
- Conduct Government inspections on ambulances to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with commissioning new vehicles for service readiness.
- Collaborate with the Shop Foreman to order required parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely and efficiently as part of a team.
- Work on additional external projects as assigned.
- Operate independently and manage responsibilities without direct supervision.
Terms of Employment
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with one week of on-call per month.
- Compensation: $40-$45 per hour (based on experience).
- Start Date: February 3, 2025.
Qualifications
- Licensed Journeyman Mechanic with expertise in Ford gas E450 vehicles.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical wiring systems.
