Description
Scope: Assist Production Department in entering data, tracking and reconciling inventory, preparing, and distributing related information / documentation.
Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a College Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent field.
Experience:
Five (5) years of work experience in the automotive industry.
Basic understanding of ERP/SAP systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, and Word.
Proficiency in VBA macros, including syntax, structure, PivotTables, and charts.
Knowledge of SQL queries for retrieving, updating, or manipulating data from databases and maintaining reports through data extraction.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain and update production reporting files for the production line.
• Create error codes for downtime, rejects, and scrap upon approval in reporting files.
• Update part numbers on reporting sheets based on releases in SAP/ERP.
• Map data between finished parts and their components in reporting sheet.
• Correct invalid and missing entries from the production floor regarding OA, FTQ, scrap, etc.
• Develop production reporting sheets for new lines.
• Generate and distribute weekly reports for production teams, highlighting key performance insights.
• Create comprehensive monthly reports, including trends and recommendations, for management.
• Design and maintain KPIs to track production, efficiency, and quality performance.
• Prepare KPI dashboards and visual presentations for weekly and monthly management meetings.
• Accurately post scrap quantities in SAP based on production data and physical verification.
• Ensure correct material codes and work centers are associated with scrap entries.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate scrap-related data in SAP.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to validate reported scrap quantities.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for scrap reduction.
• Provide data and reports to support manufacturing, production, and waste minimization initiatives.
• Demonstrate proficiency in SAP modules relevant to production and material management.
• Exhibit familiarity with manufacturing processes and scrap management.
• Manage and coordinate engineering changes across product lines, ensuring efficient communication between cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in documentation and processes.
• Update records in enterProj tasks and other relevant documents.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all engineering change documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Conduct audits to confirm that changes have been implemented correctly.
• Facilitate meetings to review, discuss, and approve engineering changes with stakeholders regarding open tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Communicate reporting issues with team leaders, supervisors, and operators.
• Train operators and team leaders across various production lines.
• Generate various MIS reports required by management.
• Support production, materials, quality, and engineering departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
